Resolve 'User account does not exist in tenant' error

Problem

A user attempts to log in to an institutional resource that uses Microsoft Azure for authentication and receives the User account does not exist in tenant and cannot access application error.

Solution

This happens when a credential from another Microsoft service is stored in the browser. Try the following solutions in order.

Log out of other Microsoft accounts

OR
    If you are logged in, logout.
    If you are not logged in, attempt to login with the account referenced in the error. Then, logout and close the browser.
    Open a new browser and go to https://mycts.covenantseminary.edu .
    Login using your Covenant Seminary student account and password.

Clear your browsing data

In Google Chrome:
    In the upper-right corner of the browser, click the three vertical dots.
    Navigate to More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.
    Make sure Cookies and other site data is checked. Select Time range as All time.
    Click Clear data. Then, close the browser.
    Open a new browser and go to https://mycts.covenantseminary.edu .
    Login using your Covenant Seminary student account and password.

Use a different browser

If you normally use Chrome, try Firefox or Safari.

Use "incognito" mode

In Google Chrome:
    In the upper-right corner of the browser, click the three vertical dots.
    Click New incognito window.
    Login using your Covenant Seminary student account and password.
