Here is a list of upcoming Doctor of Ministry (DMin) courses. Reading lists or Syllabi will be posted with each course 10-12 weeks before the course starting date. Students must complete the reading before the first day of class, so plan accordingly.
All courses listed are part of the Advanced Ministry Track and anyCohorts with spots available for "non-cohort" students. Courses restricted to Cohorts only will not be shows and syllabi will be distributed by Cohort Mentors directly.
Syllabi can also be found on Canvas for students registered in that class.
Communicating Christ In A Secular Age: May 19–23, 2025
Instructor: Dr. J. Walter H. Nilsson, Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Lexington Park, MD
Description: How do communicators communicate sermons and messages that faithfully exposit Scripture while engaging the underlying secular narratives through which their listeners interpret the sermon? How can communicators identify the narratives that shape their hearers (and themselves!)? How can communicators engage these narratives and draw their listeners to Jesus Christ, our ultimate hope? This course equips expositors to engage the false narratives of their own ministry context with the hope that is only found in Jesus Christ.
