Regalia/Diploma Information

Regalia Pickup:

You will receive a rented cap, gown and hood to wear at Commencement, along with a tassel that you may keep. If you wish to purchase a hood, you may have one made for you by our recommended seamstress (email Registrar for those details).

  • What You’ll Receive: Cap, gown, hood, and tassel.
  • Pick-Up: Pick-ups will take place on campus on the 2nd floor of Founders Hall at One Stop between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm daily Monday, May 12th - Wednesday, May 14th. NOTE: All student balances must be cleared before regalia will be issued.
  • Regalia Care: Remove wrinkles by hanging gowns near a warm shower or by spraying them lightly with water. Do not iron!!
  • Students Coming from Out of Town: Email  registrar@covenantseminary.edu  to have your regalia available for you to pick up at the church before Commencement.

Regalia Return:

  • What You’ll Return: Cap, gown, and hood ALL must be returned; you may keep the tassel.
  • Drop Off: The cap, gown and hood will need to be returned either after the ceremony in the Lobby of the First Free Church, or on Monday, May 19th to the One-Stop office between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Bring the diploma cover you will receive at graduation with you when you return your regalia.


Issuing Diplomas:

Return regalia (cap, gown, and hood) in order to receive your diploma. Diplomas will be issued when all of the following items are completed: 

  • All course work finished and final grades received
  • All balances owed to the Seminary paid
  • Graduate survey completed (information forthcoming)
  • All equivalency work (if required) completed
  • Loan exit interview (if required) completed
  • All field education requirements (if required) completed

Mailing Diplomas:

If we need to mail your diploma, please make sure we have your current address!



Can anyone else collect my diploma for me?

No, not unless we have a signed statement from you (not an email) specifying who can collect it.
